I have a K9N2 Diamond and in the manual it says the ram v BUT it just so happens the I know I looked at the bios and clocked the ram down from to be safe .could I just a minute ago checked MSI's site and looked at the manual hoping it was . Delayed Allocation In this release, Ext4 is adding one of its most important planned features: MSI K8N Diamond 1.9 allocation also called "Allocate-on-flush". It doesn't change the disk format in any way, but it improves the performance in a wide range of workloads.
When an application write s data to the disk, the data is usually not written immediately to the disk but instead is cached in RAM for a while. Without delayed allocation, despite the data not MSI K8N Diamond 1.9 written immediately to the disk the filesystem allocates the necessary disk structures for it immediately.
