ACPI or standard machine Now there is a subject for discussion.
I hope i'm not opening a can of worms here, but Dux, what are your opinions on this? Tallisman ACPI or standard machine D inthepipelineGigabyte GA-M61P-S3 NVIDIA SATA AHCI Just use ACPI - it works better. I know this from mucho experience: Sorry folks, haven't tried that yet. How can you tell the difference?
I start playing HD H. If the CPU performance looks smooth [or at least "smoother" than in other mode] then it's good.

Just install a test system before you install it foreal and test it with and without ACPI. I'm so glad I'm part of it, and enjoy it much more here then there. Which VSTi's better thread, anyone? Everybody can know this stuff.

Just observe and remember. Once you setup your dream system, everything will be just peachy. You just plug in the freakin cable and it worked I ended up spending a year trying to get it all working nicely together it all seemed to have one problem or another. I ended up selling everything and buying a new PC just so I Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3 NVIDIA SATA AHCI get recording again.

My friend is a real old-school-dude, always dreaming about vintage-recording. Fact is, he has recorded nothing.
Just talking about tape and old stuff. Less talking, more action! Yep, even though at times hardware seems easier - it is definitely not, and I would miss totall recall sooooo Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3 NVIDIA SATA AHCI Setting up the mixer and keeping it that way for every song was a very painful experience I'd rather forget.
Now I can work on countless projects at the same time. PC really revolutionised audio recording and production, even though hardware still sounds a bit better to me, but I wouldn't give up this total recall freedom for anything: My first usable machine was an IBM with win95, 8meg of PC66sdram and a bog standard soundblaster. I used to run a couple of pub quizzes "radio DJ stylee". People used to think it was wierd considering a computer as a piece of HiFi, let alone the idea of making Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3 NVIDIA SATA AHCI on them in those days.
I still have a Tascam 38 and plenty of analog gear especially pre's and mics. I guess it's just a case of having faith in your own understanding and abilities, the confidence to constantly learn as technology changes and complete focus on your aim as a musician, producer, or whatever you do. Dux, I've finally managed to get hold of a firewire Lacie drive for a couple of days, so I can Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3 NVIDIA SATA AHCI testing the stuff in earnest now.
We'd all be very grateful if you do these tests so we can have a peace of mind regarding Firewire performance. I'm slowly but surely breaking my Win uptime record of 20 days here.
But I think I found a bug or two in this SP3. Nothing very significant, though. Drivers are written for the particular OS, not service pack.

I've put together a machine with an Athlon64x25 partitions and the various encarnations of XP on it, so I can thoroughly test: Duxdo you know where Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3 NVIDIA SATA AHCI find it? I wonder if this is what SidSpeed refers to when its value is 3] DuX But the most important thing is - how's the firewire drive performing under different OS'?
What I'm thinking is that SP3 might be OK, but changing the sidspeed value may be needed for it to work properly. I apologise for the delay. I decided to do the tests on several machines to compare their validity.

It must be said, the machines were very similar and the results were broadly the same across all three. I feel confident that the results make sense. I used three machines, two identical.
